A poem created in the form of 18 Haiku, to be read in order. (Full text of poem at the end of the images)

Rain falls relentless
Birds tremble on wet branches
The sky is empty

Sorrow’s soft refrain
Echoes in the emptiness
Rain falls in my heart

Perfume laden winds
Music drifts in empty space
Your soul calls to me

The tides of my heart
Drifting languid and empty
The moon weeps with me

Birds cry mournfully
A melancholy refrain
Empty and reaching

Languidly floating
The last petals fall like rain
The trees are empty

Rising autumn dawn
Birds aloft in bitter winds
Filling empty skies

Leaf now touching leaf
Empty and learning to drift
The last dance of fall

The leaves are fading
Winter in my empty heart
Where your voice still calls

Winter’s violin
Fills my aching soul with light
Empty is my art

Now our winter calls
The heavy weight of empty
Falls gently on me

My heart is trembling
I hear emptiness breathing
Snow falls in silence

Weightless and drifting
Labyrinthine depths of empty
Silence is affirmation

Through my empty shell
Roaring like a storm at sea
My pain ebbs and flows

I ache to be free
My mirror empty of me
A long-withered tree

The sea paints the shore
Shifting colours of empty
The poets envy

Resonant echoes
Call to me in the silence
Emptiness whispers

Time moves like water
Lost in empty reflections
My soul ebbs away
