Soothing like soft winds
the weight of your words
once filled the wells
of my empty soul to overflowing
I never felt the dark waters
circling beneath me
I did not heed the quiet whispers
of the breeze
Nor the urgent keening of my heart
warning of the lies in your eyes
Sorrows waves rolled over me
and the weight of your ghost
emptied the wells of my soul
where now only lilies bloom
endlessly, in the darkness
