I have a hunger that once moved an ocean
We two surrendered to the ebb and flow
Rode the waves both high and low
Then the winds bore you away and I am now an empty boat
No reason to go no reason to stay
Filled with only memories and the gnawing pain of your absence
The waves still rise and the waves still fall
upon the open seas of my sorrow
The moon still glows and the sun will shine tomorrow
My heart still beats and my blood still flows
But I am a deep well of emptiness that can never be filled
A dark mirror without reflection from which my hunger ever echoes
