Petals (The Breeze Of Transience)

So perfectly is imperfection placed

All pervading in perfect harmony

Carpets of wild flowers on purpled paths

Out of the cloudless heavens

Petals of the purest white

Dainty red blossoms

Small rafts on the white ocean

Sparkling dew on every petal’s lip

Round, as pearl and pearl upon a single thread

Shell pink, pearlier than moonlit snow

Ivory petals tipped with rose

But shaken by the slightest breeze

Let slip entrusting flowers to the wind

The pink softness of appearance

Petals fall slow with spring’s languor

Un-budded glory

Every flower marked with tears, never to open

For when the breeze of transience stirs the air

A shower of shooting stars will leave it bare

Delight, cascading, seconds of inspiration

Out on the petal laid path
