Sometimes
a lifetime won’t suffice
When two souls
chance upon each other
Lives that touch
for a brief instant
Love does not recognise
the transience of life
Time does not dim
the memory of perfection
Found in a single moment
of tenderness
When destinations differ
but destinies are forever bound
There will come a time
when one thought, lost to the crowds
is a familiar shadow on the swell
And the separate paths are merged again
So hold my echo in your heart
Think of me gently
Of what was
and what could have been
Love transcends the barriers
of time, age and space
The soul always longs
for a companion
In the gentle murmur
of deep, black waters
there are threads
woven together by fate
Wandering the vast corridors
of silent thoughts
and when your heart is over full
let me carry your whispers
as secrets I will keep
for eternity
