…brings her angels
No one knows what she endured
what has been taken from her
one fatal footstep, one moment in time
her memories, now lost to the grave
no-one knows where she lies
ever silent and alone, in sweet repose
the darkness, has become her home
she sleeps softly, in gentle hibernation
her beauty hidden in the shadows
where in time, all turns to dust
slowly erasing, their dark secret
that unspoken dread, never to be revealed
his heart, grew ever cold
and the soul she knew, grew ever distant
the dark bruises of love, now hidden
for eternity, in the shrouds of grief
fallen, she still haunts him
in the hours of deep whispers
he longs to drink her sweet wine
to disturb her serene silence
her soul stirs, like lifeless leaves upon the trees
and the night, brings her angels
her spirit safely distant, her heart in ashes
is all that remains to be seen
